Columbia, South Carolina - Rose Marie Sheila Curry was the daughter of Minnie Curry and the late Cornelius (JC) Curry. Rose was affectionately known as "Sheila" was born on September 1, 1964 in Lone Star (Calhoun Country) SC. Rose peacefully entered into eternal rest at home on Sunday, February 7, 2021.
Rose was a graduate of Fairwall Center. Rose was a happy person, always smiling. Rose loved everyone she met. She was Wal-Mart famous; she would keep the employees entertained. At an early age she joined Bethlehem Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Carolin Curry; father, Cornelius "JC" Curry.
She is survived by her mother, Minnie Curry; two sisters, Francena (Eddie) Moore, Jennifer Curry Cobbs; adopted sister, Stephanie (Stan) Boykins; two nieces, Britney and Latasha Moore; three nephews, Eddie Bee Moore III, Travis Ellis, Jr and Trayvon Holmes; three great-niece; two great-nephews; five aunts, Viola (William Irick, Almetia (Conrad) Cheeseboro, Clara Curry, Catherine Curry and Julia Fludd; uncle, Rufus Gates, Sr; special friend of 17 years, Hezzie Owen; the staff of McKenny Court of Eastover, SC; best friend, Judy Bellenger and a host of other relatives and friends whom will miss her dearly.
A homegoing service will be held Saturday February 13, 2021, 11am at Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home. Public viewing will be held today from 2-5 pm.
