Ruth Wix Obituary
Mrs. Wix was born in Greenwood, SC, September 29, 1922, a daughter of the late E.W. Griffin and Maude Worthy Griffin. She was a member of Fairforest Baptist Church.
Survivors are three daughters: Patsy Ruth Sprouse of Illinois, Mary Elizabeth Busby and husband Roy of Georgia, Judith Ann Head and husband Buddy of Gray Court; a son: Curtis “Butch” Wix and wife Deborah of Newberry; two sisters: Elsie Mae Beckham of Chester and Margaret Sullivan of Union; a brother: Thomas Melvin Griffin of Heath Spring; fifteen grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 15, 2008, at the S.R. Holcombe Chapel conducted by the Rev. Michael Causey. Burial will be in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends Thursday evening, from 7:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
