Samuel Hallman COLUMBIA - The homegoing service for Samuel Hallman will be held today at 1:00 p.m. at Bostick-Tompkins Funeral Home (2930 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC) with burial in the Hallman Family Cemetery in Blair, SC. Born in Orangeburg County, Samuel was a son of the late James Peter and Leatha Mae Hallman. He passed away Sunday, February 9, 2014, at his home. He was 83. Samuel attended public schools in Orangeburg. At an early age, Mr. Hallman went to work for Morrison Cafeteria from which he later retired after thirty years. He is survived by his sons: Leander Hallman, Sylvester (Darlene) Hallman and Waldell Hallman; his daughter, Lelia Mae (Keith) Hawkins; sisters, Leatha Mae Osborne, Henrietta James, Fannie Parlor and Rebecca (Cecil) Rowe; a brother, Henry Hallman; 14 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nephews, nieces and other loving relatives and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly.
