Sandra Harrison Gray COLUMBIA - Services for Sandra Harrison Gray will be Tuesday March 11th, at Rehoboth Baptist Church in Columbia at noon, with the body lying in state from 11:00AM-12:00 noon, and a wake tonight 6:00-7:30 PM at Palmetto Funeral Service Chapel of the Midlands, LLC. Sandra Harrison-Gray was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, March 6, 2014. She was the only child of the late Mr. James and Mrs. Ruth Harrison Belton. Sandra was born April 25, 1949 in Ridgeway, South Carolina. Sandra was educated in the public schools of Fairfield and Richland counties. She graduated from Bethel High School in 1967. She furthered her education graduating from Benedict College in 1971 with a B.A. in Business Administration. She was a dedicated member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Sandra was employed with Richland Memorial Hospital for over 29 years in the Health Insurance Division. After her initial retirement from Richland, she was later employed by Providence Hospital and she officially retired in 2012. Sandra was a lifetime member of Rehoboth Baptist Church and served on numerous committees. Sandra Harrison-Gray leaves loving memories to be cherished by; her devoted uncles: Curtis M. (Susie) Harrison, Earnest (Viette) Harrison, Charles S. (Vivian) Harrison, and George Jenkins, all of Blythewood, SC; James (Natsumi) Harrison, and Andrew (Patricia) Harrison, both of Columbia, SC; aunts, Willie (Rev. Eugene) Canty of Ridgeway, SC, Bessie (Paul) Wood of Columbia, SC, Dorothy (James) Price of Decatur, Ga. and Mable Swinson of Fort Washington, Md; three great aunts, Priscilla Golphin of Philadelphia, Pa., Gracie Belton of Washington, DC and Julia Smith of Columbia, SC; brothers-in-law, Harold (Aquetta) Gray of Columbia, SC and James (Joan) Gray of Ridgeway; sisters-in-law, Dorothy White of Columbia, SC, Iris Corley of Columbia, SC and Yvonne of Blythewood, SC; two special cousins who were like sons, James L. Jenkins and Curtis N. Jenkins, plus a host of cousins, other relatives and friends, all of whom will miss her dearly. Palmetto Funeral Service of the Midlands, LLC. was in charge.
