Sherrill Perry Obituary

Winnsboro, South Carolina - Sherrill Perry, 83, shrugged off the clutches of ALS on December 10, 2020 and entered into the presence of her Savior where there will be no more suffering. She was born on July 28, 1937 to the late Harry H. and Juanita Beckham.
She graduated from Greenbrier High School and Columbia Commercial College and held a Professional Executive Secretarial certificate from the University of South Carolina.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Huley A. Perry, Jr.; a son, James H. Perry (Janet); and a daughter, Sherrie Perry Feaster (Chuck). She is also survived by a brother, Harry J. Bechkam (Betty Jo); sisters, Alona Shook (Mike) and Josephine Beckham; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
She is predeceased by a son, Huley A. "Zan" Perry, III, and a sister, Harriett "Bit" Thigpen.
She retired from the Columbia Bank for Cooperatives and Midlands Technical College. She was led daily by her Christian faith. She taught Sunday School for over 60 years and was a 28-year member of Trinity Bible Fellowship, a weekly Christian Prison Ministry which she co-founded. She was the embodiment of Christian Love and reached out to anyone with a need in their lives.
Thanks and gratitude are extended to caregivers Bethany Bennett and "Von" Downing-Currie. Addition thanks to "special sister" Janet Davis who worked with Sherrie in providing personal care to Sherrill.
Visitation will be held from 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday, December 12, 2020 at the Bethel United Methodist Church Fellowship Hall at 6688 State Highway 269 in Winnsboro, SC. Funeral services will be held Sunday at 3:00 in the church sanctuary conducted by Reverends Ben Rogers and Terry Roof. A live stream of the service can be viewed on the funeral home website starting at 3:00 PM at www.popefuneralhomesc.com. Click on view live stream on Sherrill's page under the service tab.
Memorials may be made to the church or a charity of your choice. Please help us maintain safety by wearing masks and social distancing.

I am so sorry to hear of Sherrill’s passing. Sherrill was a kind and very Christian soul. Her many thoughtful prayers for others were always appreciated. She was always thoughtful and caring in our conversations and visits. I know she will be greatly missed. May God bless and comfort Huley and all her family. Peace be with you.
