Mr. Smith was born July 29, 1952, in Richland County and passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2009. He was a son of Clyde L. and Leola Bouye Smith. Mr. Smith had served in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was a member of Red Bank Baptist Church. Mr. Smith was a technician with Midland’s Honda. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.
Mr. Smith is survived by his wife, Kathy; sons, Marcus (Julie) Smith of Saluda, Michael (Tori) Hall of Leesville, and Tommy (Lori) Hall of Lexington; grandchildren, Garrett Smith, Rylee Smith, Devin Hall, Hunter Hall, Alayna Hall and Savannah Hall; sister, Pauline Cartwright, and brother, Fred (Darla) Smith, both of Lexington. He was predeceased by his sister, Phyllis Smith, and brother, Lindsey Smith.
The family wishes to extend warm and sincere thanks to Dr. Steven Madden and his staff, and the staff of Lexington Medical Center. Everyone was so kind and thoughtful with Terry during his illness. We will be forever grateful for the wonderful care he received during his time of need. The love and kindness shown by each was very uplifting and appreciated by all.

Kenny and I were very saddened to hear about Terry. We pray that God will comfort you and the family in your time of need. There are no words that can take the pain away of losing your spouse but know that we are praying for you. May God wrap his arms around you and comfort you and give you the strength you need to get through this hard time. Terry will be very much missed by all that knew him. He was a good man.
