Virginia P. Combs COLUMBIA Service for Virginia P. Combs, 88, of Columbia, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 2, 2016, at Ashland United Methodist Church, 2600 Ashland Road, Columbia, SC 29210, with interment to follow in Woodridge Memorial Park, 138 Corley Mill Road, Lexington, SC 29072. The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, April 1, 2016, at Temples-Halloran Funeral Home, 5400 Bush River Road, Columbia, SC 29212. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Ashland United Methodist Church, 2600 Ashland Road, Columbia, SC 29210 or Wescott Acres Pet Rescue, 6005 Wescott Road, Columbia, SC 29212. Mrs. Combs died Sunday, March 27, 2016. She was born in New Augusta, IN, to the late Herbert and Iva Pearson. Her late sister predeceased her in 2015 at the age of 93. She was a member of Ashland United Methodist Church, the Ashland Fellowship Class, and Ashland's Sunshine Circle. Mrs. Combs was married to the late Troy Tucker in New Bern, NC. She was later married to the late John R. Combs in Beaufort, SC. She is survived by her sons, Larry R. Tucker (Kelly), Irmo, SC, Gary B. Tucker (Elia), Burkburnett, TX, her daughter, Nancy Combs Harrison, Atlantic Beach, FL, and her honorary son, Kelly Harrison, Jacksonville Beach, FL,; grandchildren, Cole Tucker, Lyn Tucker, Andrew Tucker, Adriana Tucker, Parker Harrison and Tristen Harrison; and her precious cat, Sugar Pie.
