To the Goodman family, I was deeply saddened to hear of your loss. Mr. Goodman taught me a lot about business and how to treat people. He treated everyone with respect, no matter how rich or poor. He also excepted nothing less than the best out of me and to this day it has helped me become the man I am. My family will continue to keep your family in our prayers.

Walt was a great man. He gave me my first job working at his Kershaw IGA. I always looked up to Walt because of his strong work ethic and his genuine like of all people. I am certain that the time I shared with him helped form me into the man I am today. Please accept my deepest sympathies and condolences. Chris Caldwell

With deepest sympathy on the loss of Mr. Goodman. A true pillar of the community.

I have found comfort in this excerpt from a devotional reading:
"While we may not understand God's ways, we know that he is all-wise, all-knowing and just. He watches over us and will make everything right in its time. The key is for each of us to remain faithful to him until then."

So sorry to learn of Walt's death. Our sympathies go out to the whole family. I remember growing up we looked forward to Uncle Edward's bringing the family down to see us in Andrews, SC. Walt was a decent and honest man.
