Faye and Johnny,

I did not learn of your father's death until I talked to Rusty late yesterday afternoon. He and Liz had just returned home from your house, Johnny. The last time I had seen your dad was at Peggy's visitation. I walked over to speak to your parents and was surprised that your Dad remembered me after so many years. He was always such a gentleman. I'll keep you and the rest of your family in my thoughts and prayers during this very sad time.

Dear Faye, I am so truly sorry that Al and I were not able to attend your Daddy's funeral today. We had been out of town and didn't get back to Columbia until about 11:00 p.m. Sunday. Please know how much I care about you and your family and always have. I have so many, many fond memories of us as little girls and then growing up together. Your daddy was a constant in my life - especially as our parents became friends because you and I were. I remember that he liked to put his green beans (w/the broth) on his rice and that when we played board games at your kitchen table, he said such funny things to make me and your whole family laugh. He liked to put ketchup on the wonderful roast beef that your mama made. He let me go out with your family to Christo's Roast Beef House on a lot of Friday nights (when your mama said that was her night off from cooking for the week). I remember going with you to visit his parents (Bob and Lois Register). There are just so many memories that I have of your sweet daddy - what a very, very fine man he was. I was blessed to have known him, and I am so thankful that you, Peggy, Johnny, and your mama were all part of my and my family's lives. Love, Susan

Dear Winnie,
My condolences. I often think of you and Bill, and how caring you were for a young college student back in the 50's. Thank you so much. Jean sends her condolences, also.
Sincerely,
Doug Corkern

Mrs. Register, Faye, Johnny, and the Tucker Family:

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Register. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of you for it is not easy loosing a loved one especially one as special as Mr. Register.

I kept in touch with Mr. and Mrs. Register after Peggy Tucker's dead until they moved into assisted living and I lost contact with them.

Peggy was a wonderful person, a dear friend of mine, and she loved and cared about her Dad so much. She told me quite often how special, loving, and kind he was.

Her father almost died on her birthday. Peggy has been gone eight years this coming August and I still miss her so much. She was just like her Dad based on what I have read and heard about him, absolutely just a wonderful person!

With many prayers and my deepest sympathy,

Eloise W. Chavis

Faye - thanks for letting me know about your sweet daddy! He was SO special to me and my family - I don't know what Bagnal's would have done without his talent and his wonderful sharing personality! Your daddy was a quiet yet strong person and I am blessed that he was a part of my life and of my parents, grandparents and family - Granddaddy Bagnal truly admired your daddy! Just know that you and ALL of your family are in my thoughts and prayers as you face this time of loss. I pray that God will wrap His Strong and Loving Arms around all of you and give you the peace and strength you need to face the days ahead. My love and sympathy to all of you! Devotedly, Gale
