Carolyn Tedder

Mrs. Carolyn Gail Tucker Tedder, age 81, passed away peacfully on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Village Care of King. She was born on December 28, 1943, to Bill and Alice Tucker of Surry County. She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Tedder Smith (Larry Smith); her son, Chris Tedder (Robbie Tedder); granddaughters, Katelyn M. Jones (fiancé Clark Allen), Chloe Beane Tedder; four stepgranddaughters, Ashley Clayton, Katie Ross, Emily Wood and Haylee Smith; sister-in-laws, Hazel, Wilma and Barbara Tucker as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Tedder was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years William (Bill) Johnson Tedder; a brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Betty Tucker; three sisters and brother-in-laws, Verda Mae and Carl Dezern, Betty Lou and Neil Boyles, Joann and Joe Bill Nichols; and four brothers, Clevo, Calvin, Clyde and Rex Tucker. Carolyn was a devoted Christian and a memeber of Quaker Gap Baptist Church and previously a member of Pinnacle View Baptist Church. Per her wishes, an intimate graveside service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to King Outreach Ministry P.O. Box 1450 King, NC 27021.
