Beatrice McKim Obituary

Beatrice Jean "Bebe" McKim, 94, of South Attleboro, MA, passed away peacefully in her sleep on November 19, 2025. Born in Boston and raised in Jamaica Plain, she was the daughter of the late Josephine Blair and beloved sister to the late Margie Kalio Bedard and Jimmy and Linda Blair.

Bebe was predeceased by her devoted husband and love of her life, Daniel 'Dan' McKim, whom she married on June 9, 1951, and her cherished daughter, Janice. She leaves behind her loving family: Andrew McKim and his partner Diane Lind of Franklin, MA; daughter-in-law Ellen Shippee of Ashland, NH; and Daniel McKim and his wife Bobbie (Packey) McKim of North Attleboro, MA. She was a proud grandmother to Andrea Keohane (Joseph), Kevin McKim (Lisa), Daniel McKim, Gregory McKim (Brittany), and Matthew McKim, and a joyful great-grandmother to Arianna, Joseph, James, Austin, Blair, and Kai.

In 1959, Bebe and Dan moved from Jamaica Plain to Foxboro, where she lived for 45 years. She was deeply involved in her community-active in the Boy and Girl Scouts, a founding member of the Founders Day Committee, a Rock Hill Cemetery Trustee, and a regular participant in adult education programs, where she nurtured her love of art.

Bebe began working for the Foxboro School Department in 1967, first in the Health Room and later in the high school office. When the Burrell School opened in 1968, she became its secretary, a role she held with dedication until her retirement. She was much loved by the staff and students.

After retiring, Bebe and Dan moved to South Attleboro in 2004. Her happiest moments were spent with family, dancing with Dan, enjoying summers in Wareham and Truro, and winters in Bradenton, FL. She loved reading, walking, painting, crafting, playing Scrabble, making chocolates, and especially attending Bingo nights with friends-where she was luckier than most!

A lifelong New England sports fan, Bebe cheered passionately for the Bruins and loved watching her grandchildren's sporting events. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends who brought joy to her life.

Bebe will be remembered for her kindness, sense of humor, warmth, creativity, and unwavering love for her family and community.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend calling hours on Tuesday, November 25 at the Roberts and Sons Funeral Home, 30 South Street, Foxborough from 11 AM to 1 PM. A Funeral Service will be held at 1 PM at the funeral Home. Interment to follow at Rock Hill Cemetery, Foxborough.

Bebe was so dear to me. I loved her laugh and she always made me laugh. She was the most die-hard bingoer. She will be so missed. Until we meet again my friend. Rest in beautiful peace
