David J. Erwin, age 55, of Warwick, RI, passed away unexpectedly on July 13, 2021. Devoted son of David L. Erwin and Antonia (Leone) Erwin of Attleboro. Loving brother of Susan Erwin of Attleboro and Anthony Erwin and his wife Mary Beth of Attleboro. Cherished Uncle of Rachel, Olivia, and Giuliana Erwin. He had and is survived by many loving relatives and dear friends.

David graduated from Attleboro High School. He was a learned scholar and earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from the Franciscan University of Steubenville, a Master of Arts in Religious Studies from Providence College, and a Master of Divinity through the Order of Preachers.

He worked as a clinical therapist for The Providence Center-Kent Hospital. David was a Reiki Master and has also been an elementary school teacher, a bookseller, and a mental health clinician.

David was the founder of Anam Cara of Rhode Island, incorporating his innate love of herbs and flower essences into aromatherapy products, which he also sold at his booth during his favorite time of the year at King Richard's Faire. He was dedicated to others and loved helping people by providing guidance through his readings.

Beginning in his youth, David had a passion for the spiritual and mystical. Raised Roman Catholic, he studied with the Order of Preachers (Dominican Friars) and was a seminarian. Following his spiritual path, he studied at and became a High Priest of the Temple of Witchcraft in Salem, NH.

Dave was the "fun one'' and everyone's favorite as he shared with all his wise wit and wonderful, wicked sense of humor.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Tuesday, July 20, 2021 from 4-8 PM at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at 9:30 AM from the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, followed by a Memorial Mass at 11 AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 N.
