Ellen Marie Cuddy of Attleboro, has passed away peacefully after a long illness on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 60 years of age. Beloved partner of Patrick M. Murphy. Daughter of Eleanor M. (Neville) Cuddy and the late Thomas H. Cuddy, Jr. who passed earlier this year on Feb. 25th, 2021. Adored sister of Thomas H. Cuddy, III and his wife Lisa of Stamford, CT; Mark S. Cuddy and his wife Robin of Wrentham; John M. Cuddy and his wife Diana of Mansfield; and Jeanne Cuddy-Peretz and her husband Shimon Peretz of Wainscott, NY. Ellen also leaves many nieces and nephews, cousins and friends.
Ellen was born in Brighton, MA and in 1967 the family moved to Attleboro where she attended St. John the Evangelist Grammar School and Bishop Feehan High School. Ellen was a sports enthusiast and athlete. She played on Bishop Feehan's basketball team and for Attleboro Women Softball League for the Rookies. Throughout her career, she worked as a waitress at Kozy Kitchen in Attleboro, as a receptionist at Cook-Horton in N. Attleboro, and as a clerk at Richardson-Cuddy Insurance in Attleboro. Ellen loved spending time with her family and friends.
The Cuddy family would like to thank all the doctors and nurses at both the ICU at Miriam Hospital and the CTICU at Rhode Island Hospital.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend visitation on Saturday, September 25, 2021 from 10am-12pm at Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, 20 Peck Street, Attleboro. A Christian Mass will be conducted at 12pm at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 N. Main Street, Attleboro. Burial will follow at St. John's Cemetery, Attleboro.
