Gregory Corbett Obituary

Gregory Scott Corbett, a devoted father, beloved brother and son, and cherished friend to all, passed away on Friday, December 22, 2023, at the age of 55. He was born on November 4, 1968, in Attleboro, Massachusetts. Greg's memory will forever endure in the hearts of his three children: Christine, Nick, and Mike; his brother Jeff; and his parents, Judy and Earl.

Greg's journey began in Attleboro. During his days at Attleboro High School, he proudly proclaimed himself "The King." Later, at Roger Williams University, he excelled in both business and tennis. His professional journey led him to the top of the precious metals industry.

Greg's core values revolved around relationships, generosity, and peace. His deepest fear was the loss of a loved one, but he leaves behind a family strong enough to face his passing, thanks to the invaluable lessons he imparted to all who knew him. Greg would often say, "I am not afraid of death, and when I am gone, know that I am at peace." As a father, Greg would reassure, "I love you, and have a super delicious day."

Greg effortlessly navigated diverse social circles, seeing people for their inner qualities. He freely gave his time, love, and resources to alleviate suffering wherever he encountered it. From cooking and handing out meals on Thanksgiving and Christmas at a bus station in Providence, RI, to dropping anything to be where you needed him next, Greg was always ready to be there for anyone who needed a helping hand.

His daily routine was simple: work, golf, visits to Morin's Diner, time with friends and family, a well-deserved nap, and some TV. With gallons of water, plenty of food, and unwavering assurance that his loved ones were cared for, Greg magnetically drew people close. His presence alone brought comfort, and he consistently went above and beyond to ensure the comfort, safety, and prosperity of those around him. The memory of Greg Corbett extends far beyond his family, resonating in the hearts of countless others who were privileged to know him.

Visitation will be held in the memory of Greg on Thursday, January 4, 2024 from 4-8 PM at the Duffy-Poule Funeral Home, located at 20 Peck Street, Attleboro, MA.

Greg will be greatly missed. He was always a great friend who would reach out just to say hello or would meet up to have lunch to catch up. I can only imagine him getting into mischief with my Uncle Steve up in heaven now.

Always loved Greg´s visits to Uncle Barry´s office or Grandpa Bert- such a great smile and laugh and could make you smile even if your day wasn´t going well.

I know he was relieved when I wanted the family cat they could no longer keep- he knew we had a happy, safe home and kitty was loved and brought a lot of joy-(just like Greg!) for many years. Wendy Dublanica
