Joseph G. "Gerry" Chamberlain, 79, passed away on Sunday, November 2, 2025, in the Hope Health Hulitar Hospice Center, Providence. He was the beloved husband of Alice (Beaudoin) Chamberlain. They have been married for the past 54 years.
Born in Warwick, he was the son of that late Otis and Leonie (Martel) Chamberlain. Gerry has resided in Cumberland for more than 54 years, previously residing in Attleboro, where he was raised.
A true "Mr. Fix-It", he was an avid mechanic and car restorer who took great pride in his work and craftsmanship. He loved camping at Scusset Beach on Cape Cod and along the Cape Cod Canal and Eastern Connecticut, often traveling in his RV and enjoying the simple pleasures of life. A fan of 1950s doo-wop, 60's oldies music and The Beach Boys, he appreciated the nostalgia and joy those tunes brought. He was an avid collector of antique treasures. He was a believer that one man's trash is another man's treasure.
Gerry was a member of the Attleboro Elks Lodge #1014, Attleboro. Gerry was the Vice President of Liberty Coach and New England Interlock for many years until his retirement.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his two children: Dawn E. Chamberlain of Cumberland; and Mark C. Chamberlain and his wife Kendra Beth of Woonsocket. His two grandchildren: Juliana M. Chamberlain and Adrianne Chambers. His four brothers: Ronald Chamberlain of Attleboro, Michael Chamberlain of Vermont, Dennis Chamberlain of Florida, and Gary Chamberlain of Thailand. His four sisters: Suzanne Chamberlain of New Hampshire, Darlene Bailey of Connecticut, Claire Chamberlain of Florida, and Christine Jandreau of New Hampshire, along with many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Richard "Dickie" Chamberlain.
