Kathleen Crowley Obituary

Kathleen T. (Igoe) Crowley, age 61, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully, in the presence of her loving family on Monday, September 29, 2025 at the Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston. She was the beloved wife of Robert C. Crowley, to whom she was wed on August 29, 1992.

Born in North Providence, RI on July 16, 1964, she was a loving daughter of the late Thomas P. and Ellen R. (Fox) Igoe.

Kathleen grew up in North Providence and was a 1982 graduate of St. Patrick's High School in North Providence. She continued her studies, graduating in 1986 from the Boston College School of Nursing. She had made her home in Mansfield for the past thirty-two years and prior to retiring, was employed as a Registered Nurse in the PACU Unit at Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston.

An active communicant of Saint Mary's Church in Mansfield, Kathy was a member of the Catholic Women's Club and served as a former Athletic Director and Girls Basketball Coach at Saint Mary's School. She also volunteered her assistance at Mount Saint Mary's Abbey in Wrentham.

Kathleen's cherished family, whom she loved dearly, were always the main ingredient of her life and she was ever-so-proud of all their accomplishments. She especially treasured the memories created at her family's home in the beautiful Quonnie neighborhood of Rhode Island and staying in touch and chatting with her siblings, former Boston College classmates and fellow colleagues at Massachusetts General Hospital.

Kathy also loved traveling and along with her husband and children, took great pleasure in visiting her family's native country of Ireland. She also enjoyed the simple pleasures of watching college basketball, walking her family dog "Crosby".

Kathleen's family would like to thank the "Party of 7" and most especially the caring staff at Dana-Farber, particularly Dr. Michael Hassett, Katie Fleming, NP and Nancy Flynn, RN for the exceptional care and kindness bestowed upon her.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by her devoted children, Brendan P. Crowley and his wife Charlotte of San Francisco, CA, Kevin A. Crowley and his girlfriend Catie of Boston, Grace E. Crowley and her boyfriend Jeff of Boston and Lily K. Crowley of Mansfield. She was the dear sister of Thomas Igoe and his wife Karen of Cumberland, RI, Suzann Gibson and her husband Larry of Cumberland, RI. Mary Igoe and her friend Blanche of North Smithfield, RI, Elizabeth Bourassa and her husband Dave of North Attleboro, Patricia Donahue and her husband Steve of Smithfield, RI, John Igoe and his wife Shawna of North Attleboro and Christine Theroux and her husband Neil of Smithfield, RI. She was the much-loved daughter-in-law of Robert A. Crowley of Methuen and the late Irene E. Crowley. She is also survived by her many loving nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Thursday, October 2nd from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield.
