Louis Droste Obituary

Louis Edmund Droste III, of Plainville, passed peacefully on November 27, 2024. He was the loving husband of the late Lorraine (Peter) Droste.

Born in Presque Isle, Maine on August 10, 1945, he was the son of the late Louis E. Droste Jr. and Doris (Smart) Droste. He has a sister, Ann Kristof.

Louis grew up as a military brat from Germany to California. He attended the University of Maine. He was a teacher at Walpole High School and Police Officer in the towns of Plainville, Wrentham, and Norfolk. He was an avid fisherman but sure left plenty of fish for others.

Louis is survived by his two sons, Brian Droste of Epsom, NH and Steven Droste and his wife Joleen of Francis, UT, and two grandchildren Harper and Caden.

The is a Celebration of Life January 25, 2025, from 4:30-7:00 at Bar Louie at Patriot Place.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Louis's memory may be made to the Wounded Warrior Foundation at support.woundedwarriorproject.org.
