Louraine N. Woll

Louraine N. (Nunes) Woll, 92, longtime resident of Attleboro, passed away Tuesday, October 28, 2025 at the Saint Elizabeth's Home in East Greenwich, RI. She was the wife of 68 years to the late William Robert Woll, Sr.

Born September 6, 1933 in Taunton, MA she was the daughter of the late John and Laura E. (Braga) Nunes.

Louraine grew up in Taunton and spent the majority of her adult life in Attleboro. Active in her community, she volunteered at the Attleboro Art Museum, Sturdy Memorial Hospital, and the Attleboro Garden Club. She was also a dedicated parishioner at St. John's the Evangelist church in Attleboro.

Louraine first established herself as a licensed hairdresser and salon owner. Later she provided administrative support in various capacities at Wheaton College in Norton, MA. Beyond her work and community service, she held leadership roles (Secretary, President) in an Investment Club and actively engaged in planning and participating in book club activities.

Highlighting her gift of creativity, Louraine painted household items and furniture with beautiful floral and folk decorations that she sold at craft fairs and gave as gifts. She also shared her painterly skills by teaching art classes.

She is survived by her children; Judith Palmisciano and her husband William of East Greenwich, RI, William R. Woll, Jr. of Harmony, ME and Mary Farnham and her husband Keith of Sandwich, MA; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Eleanor Johnston and a brother, John Nunes, Jr.

The family would like to thank all the wonderful caregivers at St. Elizabeth's Community, especially the staff at Green House #15 and the Bay for their kind and attentive care and to HopeHealth Hospice nurses, particularly Rachel who gave excellent advice and support.

Family and friends are invited to a memorial gathering on Friday, November 7, 2025 from 10:30AM to 11:00AM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 133 North Main St., Attleboro. A Mass of Christian Burial will follow the gathering at 11:00AM. Interment will follow the Mass in St. John's Cemetery, West St., Attleboro.
