Paméla Peloquin Obituary

Paméla Elaine (Phillips) Peloquin passed away peacefully on Friday September 19, 2025, at her home in Sun City, AZ at the age of 79. She was the beloved wife of Robert A. Peloquin, with whom she shared 55 years of marriage.

Born in Attleboro, Pam was the daughter of the late Charles Elliott Phillips and Alice (Dunne) Phillips. She was the loving mother of Robert E. Peloquin and his wife Amy of Elizabeth, CO and James E. Peloquin and his partner Karen Esty of Brownfield, ME. She was the cherished grandmother of Evan, Shelby and Olivia Peloquin, and Matthew Dolloff. She was the sister of Priscilla Phillips and Dwight Phillips and his wife Helen. She has many nieces and nephews.

She was raised in Mansfield and graduated from Mansfield High School in 1964. As a young woman, she worked at Balfour's Jewelry where she first met her husband. Paméla was experienced in accounting & bookkeeping and was a licensed insurance broker working with her husband at their insurance agency located in Norton for many years before retiring to Arizona.

Early on, one of her fondest memories was working part-time as a school bus driver, which she thoroughly enjoyed. She loved dressing up in various costumes during the holidays to the delight of the elementary school children.

Paméla was a communicant of St. Mary's church in Norton and active in church activities. Paméla served as Committee Chairwoman for Boy Scout Troop 61 for many years, while both her sons achieved their Eagle Scout designation.

She summered on Cape Cod for many years, loved the beach, and was an avid camper. She traveled extensively, being able to visit multiple European countries, the Caribbean, Hawaii, Canada, Costa Rica, & the entire Panama Canal.

Paméla, with her husband, the local Postmaster, and the Norton Recreation Dept helped to organize the first annual Halloween Parade in town. She proudly decorated her pink Kia convertible as a clown car complete with the office staff dressed in clown costumes. Each year thereafter, she always had some sort of wonderfully festive float for the parade. She was very creative, excelling in crocheting, knitting, needlepointing, and sewing.

After retirement, Paméla and her husband moved to Arizona, the goal of being closer to facilities geared to an older population. Pam had been diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease in 2003, and she fought a courageous battle. She lived with great dignity and never complained about her situation. Not letting Parkinson's get the best of her, she kept as active as possible by joining a miniature golf club, a lawn bowling club, line dancing, and exercising in the pool. She was loved and respected by all and will be so missed.

Paméla was an organ donor, and her last wish was to have her body donated to Banner Sun Health Research Institute in hopes of helping others learn more about Parkinson's. Her very generous donation will ultimately play an important part in the eventual cure for the devastating and debilitating neurological diseases that afflict our elderly population. Services will be private.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Pam's name may be made to The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research, P.O. Box 5014 Hagerstown, MD 21741, or the Parkinson's & Movement Disorder Alliance (PMD Alliance) at 2030 W. Baseline Road #182-6207, Phoenix, AZ 85041.
