Raymond Beauchaine Obituary

Raymond D. "Beau" Beauchaine, 74, of Somerset, MA, formerly of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on April 8, 2025, at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston.

Born in Attleboro on July 3, 1950, to the late Joseph R. Beauchaine, Jr. and Dorothy M. (Viens) Beauchaine, Beau was a 1969 graduate of North Attleboro High School and studied forestry at UMass Amherst. He was a former communicant of Sacred Heart Roman Catholic Church and proudly served in the Massachusetts National Guard.

Beau dedicated his career to the lumber industry, first working for the family business, Beauchaine's Lumber & Building Materials, and later retiring from Huttig Building Products in 2015

He cherished time with loved ones, riding his Harley, and tinkering in his garage and basement. He had a particular fondness for repairing chainsaws. Known for his meticulous nature, he took pride in all his endeavors, big or small. Beau was a guardian of family stories and traditions and loved keeping them alive for each generation. He had a talent for staying connected with friends and family, never missed a birthday or special occasion, and always made people feel special.

He is deeply missed by his partner of 37 years, Kathleen Wildanger of Somerset; his two sons, Joseph A. Beauchaine and wife Ashley Wade of Boston, Nicholas I. Beauchaine and partner John Seabolt of Norwich, CT; his siblings, Claire M. Beauchaine of Stuart, FL, and Richard Beauchaine and wife Felicia L. Beauchaine of Bristol, VT, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his twin brother, Robert Beauchaine, and his sister, Christine Feeney.

The family greatly appreciates the compassionate care provided by Brigham and Women's Hospital and HopeHealth Hospice.

Relatives and friends are invited to a Memorial Visitation on Saturday, April 19, 2025, from 9:00 to 11:00 am, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 11:00 am, both in the Memorial Chapel of the Dyer-Lake Funeral Home, 161 Commonwealth Avenue, North Attleboro. Burial will follow at St. Mary's Cemetery in North Attleboro.

A reception will be held afterward at the Attleboro Elks Lodge, 887 South Main St. Attleboro, MA.

Memorial donations may be made to The Jimmy Fund, Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, PO Box 849168, Boston, MA 02284.
