Sandra J. (Camara) Daft, age 78, of North Attleboro, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loved ones on Monday, November 24, 2025 at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence. She was the beloved wife and best friend of William Daft, to whom she shared forty-two beautiful years of marriage.
Born in
Attleboro, MA on January 6, 1947, she was a loving and devoted daughter of the late Americo "Mac" and Clara (Ramalho) Camara.
Sandy grew up and was educated in Norton. She was a graduate of Norton High School and furthered her studies, earning a Master's Degree from Bridgewater State College.
A resident of North Attleboro for the past forty-five years, Sandra had been employed for over thirty years as a Librarian for the Franklin Public School System, prior to retiring.
Family was so special to Sandy and she was very much loved by them in return. She loved summers spent in Dennisport and wonder vacations in Florida at St. Pete Beach, Pompano Beach and Key West. Sandy also enjoyed cooking holiday meals, reading and joyfully volunteering her assistance at the Plainville Senior Center.
Sandy was so privileged and thankful to be a breast cancer and kidney cancer survivor. Her family would truly like to express their gratitude to the staff and doctors at the Brookdale Senior Living Memory Care Unit in Attleboro and at the Hope Health Hospice Center in Providence, for the exceptional compassion, support and love bestowed upon them and Sandy.
In addition to her husband, she was the dear sister of Nancy L. Hamilton of Norton and Dennis J. Camara of Pompano Beach, Florida. She was the cherished much-loved aunt of Alison L. Pappalardo of North Attleboro and the late Steven J. Pappalardo. She is also survived by her treasured best friends Tom and Linda Rowland of Florida.
Services and burial will be private and visiting hours are omitted.
