David Quincy "Duke or DQ" Dungan

1939 - 2023

David Quincy ("Duke" or "DQ") Dungan passed away at home in Visalia, Calif., on Nov. 24, 2023. At his side was his beloved wife, Janice Bostick Coburn Dungan. Both are members of Visalia Community Church of Christ. He was born in Exeter, on Aug. 1, 1939 to Elizabeth Lucinda (nee Adams) Dungan and Jack Marshall Dungan. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marsha Adams Stodghill, and his first wife and mother of his three children, Linda Huckaby Dungan. He is survived by his wife, Janice Dungan, children, Sally Dungan, Timothy Dungan and Paul Dungan (Kathryn), stepsons, Duane Coburn and Joshua Coburn, brother, Thomas Dungan (Ann), 10 grandchildren, one great granddaughter and numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Viewing will be held Friday, Dec. 15, 2023, 2 to 4 p.m. at Evans, Miller, Guinn Exeter Chapel, 425 N. Kaweah Avenue, Exeter, CA 93221. Service will be held Saturday, Dec. 16, 2023, 10:30 a.m. at Visalia Community Church of Christ, 3838 S. Court Street, Visalia, CA 93277. Interment will be private.
