Anne Thompson Obituary
Born June 29, 1948, in Chicago, Illinois, to Sue and Werner Sondheim, she later moved to Memphis, Tn, with her family and lived there most of her life.
Anne graduated from White Station High School and received both undergraduate and graduate degrees in education from the University of Missouri, spending her career teaching elementary, reading resource, Montessori, and gifted students in the Clue Program.
Anne was a former President of Brooks League, a Friends of Shelby Farms Board Member and an active member of the local SierraClub.
Anne adored her pets, both dogs and cats,
enjoyed playing and watching tennis, and loved spending time with her family and friends.
She leaves behind her brother Steven Sondheim (Judy Pinson) Chicago, Illinois;
sister Lori Sondheim (Carlos Miranda), Sacramento, CA; nieces Leah Sondheim, Alana
Sondheim, and nephew Macy Sondheim; first cousins Charles and Mark Bernsen and their families Memphis; and first cousins Clive Sondheim and Jeanette Sondheim Eforgan and their families, Melbourne, Australia; as well as her extended Dickerson family.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Duane.
An active member of the Unitarian Church of the River, there will be a plaque with her name in the Memorial Garden. Memorial Service at 1pm Sat Nov 1 at the Church, reception at 2pm.

Anne was quite a lady. She lived a good life, leaving the World a better place by her actions and her nature. She was known & loved by so many for her kindness/sweetness and generosity.

Titiana will always hold a special place in our hearts. She taught me and my sister how to play chess and showed us the joy of appreciating life´s simple moments. We loved visiting her and her husband Dwayne in Tennessee. Their home was always alive with animals who adored her spirit, and we´ll never forget the adventures we had exploring their enormous backyard.

I remember Anne when she hosted the river readers book club. She was such a wonderful host and such a sweet person. Always had her dog by her side at the meeting.
