Cynthia Jones Obituary
Public visitation will be held on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Palmer Memorial Chapel, located at 304 South Main Street, Sumter, South Carolina 29150. The funeral service will take place on Sunday, November 9, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, located at 325 West Fulton Street, Sumter, South Carolina, 29159. Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park, located at 224 Cains Mills Road, Sumter, SC 29154.

Oh Cynthia my beloved church member and mentor. We will sorely miss you and your loving smile. I will hold your memory close to my heart. All my love and support to your family and loved ones. Lakita was my first piano student and you were my our biggest cheerleader in everything we ventured on to accomplish in life. God has called one of his children home to rest. Eventhough it saddens our hearts only God knows what is best.
We have worked with "Cynt" for many years and had a very good relationship. But what made it special was the Sisterhood outside of the workplace.
One of her proudest accomplishments was when she became a mother and had her handsome son "CJ" whom she dearly loved. Cynthia and "CJ" faithfully attended Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Orangeburg eventhough they were not members.
Cynthia's beautiful smile, energetic spirit, loving and caring characteristics will truly be missed.
Be encouraged the Jones and Smith family as you hold unto the wonderful memories of your loved one Dr. Cynthia Smith Jones.
