I just happen to be scrolling through the Time & Democrat and came across this. Mt heart just Stopped. At one point of my life, I was down and out! I was at one of the lowest points of my life when I stopped at the Huddle House in Santee. Ms. Geneva was working. I guess she could see the dispare in my eyes and body language. She came to my table and said, "It can't be that bad". She ordered me some food and we talked. That was my first time meeting her. She changed my life. I will be forever grateful to her for that time in my life. I moved away about 35 years ago and lost contact with her. But I always thought about her. Rest in peace my friend! I am so hurt to know you have transitioned on but i will never forget you!
