Harold Henry Douglas Barnard, Jr.

July 9, 1979 - June 5, 2025

Mr. Harold Henry Douglas Barnard, Jr., 45, passed away on June 5, 2025, in Orangeburg, South Carolina.

Born on July 9, 1979, in Meadville, Pennsylvania, Harold was the beloved son of Mr. and Mrs. Harold H. Douglas and Deborah Knolls Barnard, Sr. From a young age, he demonstrated a strong work ethic and sense of duty that would guide him throughout his life.

Harold proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Navy. His time in service reflected his dedication to something greater than himself and left a lasting impression on those who served alongside him.

Following his military service, Harold continued to embody the values of commitment and perseverance in all aspects of his life. He was known for being hardworking.

Harold was a father of three daughters: Mary D. Barnard, Alison S. Barnard and Brianna "Joy" Barnard. He is also remembered with love by his parents; his sister, Jennifer L. Grant (Marcus); as well as his nephew, Douglas J. Grant and niece Isabella M. Grant. In addition to his immediate family, Harold leaves behind many other cherished family members and friends whose lives were touched by his presence.

When seeking spiritual strengthening, Harold attended Orangeburg Baptist Tabernacle.
