ALBERT RITCHEY
ALTON — Albert Lee Ritchey, 89, died Sunday, Sept. 10, 2017 at his home.
Born in Wood River on June 14, 1928, he was the son of Walter and Nora (Dial) Ritchey.
A World War II navy veteran, he had been a barge captain before retiring.
Surviving are his wife, Nina (Hufford) Ritchey of Alton; two daughters, Rita (Charles) Wilson and Karen (Richard) Williams, all of South Roxana; five grandchildren, Leslie Wilson, Sarah Pellazari, Jeffery Wilson, Keith Williams, Amy Williams; three great-grandsons, Joshua Barrow, Jason Pellazari, Jr., Jaxson Pellazari; a brother, Earl (Amanda) Hatcher; and several nieces and nephews.
Private services and burial were at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Marks Mortuary in Wood River was in charge of arrangements.
