Amy Adams Obituary
Brighton - Amy Renee Adams, 40, passed away in her home with family by her side at 8:02 a.m. Friday, February 18, 2022. Born March 7, 1981 in Springfield, IL, the beloved daughter of David and Karen (Ballard) Hargiss of Alton. On September 10, 2016 she married the love of her life, Aaron Scott Adams. She is survived by Aaron and three children, Hayley, Dylan, and Adalynn; siblings, Jennifer (Tim) Murray, of Alton, Michael (Diana) Hargiss, of Fresno, CA, Laura Hargiss of Phoenix, AZ, Anthony (Rebecca) Hargiss, of Poplar Bluff, MO, and Stephanie Hargiss of St. Louis, MO; grandparents, Darlene Hargiss of Godfrey, and Irwin Ballard of Alton; father and mother-in-law, Scott and Lori Adams of Alton, and brother-in-law Avery (Anna) Adams of Godfrey; and eight nieces and nephews. Amy was preceded in death by grandparents, T. Leroy Hargiss of Godfrey and Verla (Hausman) Ballard of Scottsdale, AZ. Amy worked as a dental assistant, fitness instructor, and most recently as a server at State Street Market in Alton. Amy will forever be remembered as a loving wife, mother, and daughter. Services will be held Saturday, March 5, 2022 at Enjoy Church in Alton with a gathering from 2:00 p.m. until time of service at 3:00 p.m. An Afterglow will follow from 6:00-11:00 p.m. at Bluff City Grill in Alton. Colorful attire is requested, no black clothing please. Memorials may be made to her family, inheritanceofhope.org, or the Treehouse Wildlife Center in Dow. To the Adams' & Stevenson's & entire family.... my heart is deeply saddened at the loss of your 'sweet' Amy. I pray for the children and for all who knew and are grieving. Although I never met Amy, I have heard many wonderful remarks.... & the family album verifies a loving, close partnership between you, Adam, and your wife.
I have known Adam, Avery, Lori & Scott for many years...what a great Christian family! My heart goes out to you ALL.
