CARRIE MASHBURN
WOOD RIVER — Carrie Lynn Mashburn, 42, passed away Friday, Sept. 22, 2017 at OSF St. Anthony's Health Center in Alton.
Born in Wood River on May 28, 1975, she was the daughter of Brenda (Workman) Collman of Rosewood Heights and William Allensworth of South Roxana.
She had been self-employed as the owner of Carrie's Crafts. She loved all varieties of animals, especially her own dog, "Aria."
On July 8, 1995, in Wood River, she married Joseph Mashburn. He survives.
Surviving in addition to her parents and husband, are, maternal grandmother Virginia Workman of Wood River; two sons, William J. and Timothy A. Mashburn of Wood River; brother, Jon (Aggie) Collman of Godfrey; four sisters, her twin, Chris (Bob) Warner of East Alton, Jennifer (Bill) Lewis of Wood River, Sonia (Fahmi) Ben Hfaid of East Alton, and Heather (Tim) Leihser.
Preceding in death were grandparents, Jesse Workman, Rose and Gilbert Allensworth; and step-father, Jon Collman.
Visitation will be 5-8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River, where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 27. Pastor Robert Smith will officiate.
Burial will be in Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to the family in care of expenses.

I had only met you a few times. I remember our last conversation. I saw how your eyes lit up when you spoke of you pet and felt your passion as you talked about your crafting. You will be very missed.
