Debra Walker
Rosewood Heights: - Debra A. Walker, 68, passed away at 7:58am on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, at Barnes – Jewish Hospital. She was born on September 13, 1957, in Alton, the daughter of Mary Rose (Baalman) Walker of Edwardsville and the late William E. Walker. She married Jim Walker on June 1, 1979, in Edwardsville, and he survives. Other survivors include a daughter and son in law: Shana and Jason Lewis of Rosewood Heights, Jeremie Sanders of Port Orange, Florida, ten grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren, a sister and brother in law: Jane and Mike Hanneken of Brighton, a brother and sister in law: Danny and Kathy Walker of Glendale, Arizona, many nieces, nephews, and other extended family and friends.
Debra was formerly employed as a recreational therapist and a CNA at St. Clares's Hospital in Alton and St. Anthony's Hospital in Alton. She was a member of Holy Angels Parish.
In addition to her father, she was preceded in death by a daughter: Sarah Lynn Walker, a son: Jacob Josiah Walker, and an infant granddaughter: Savannah.
In celebration of her life, visitation will be from 10am until time of funeral services at 12pm on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Pitchford Funeral Home in Wood River. Father Donald Wolford will officiate. Burial will follow at Wanda Cemetery in South Roxana.
Memorials are suggested to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and will be accepted at the funeral home.
