Carrollton - Ethel Steinacher, age 90 of Carrollton passed away Saturday, November 8, 2025 at White Hall Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. She was born February 13, 1935 in Smithton, the daughter of Walter and Nettie Grommot Brenner. She married John Steinacher August 11, 1955 and he preceded her in death July 21, 1965.
She is survived by her children, Cynthia Tefertiller of Carrollton, Steven (Deborah) Steinacher of Franklin, Kevin (Betty) Steinacher of Carrollton, twelve grandchildren, Jason Coad, Jenny Coad-Wendle, Christopher Steinacher, Crystal Trisler, John, Levi, and Brandon Steinacher, Chasity Faul, Brittany Peters, Kyle Neuhaus, Matthew Steinacher, Cody Steinacher, twenty-seven great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren, and two sisters-in-law's, Bonnie and Verna Mae Steinacher. She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Wayne John Steinacher, three brothers, Mel, Carmin, Howard Brenner, sister, Ann Van Stone, and a son-in-law, Rudy Tefertiller.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church in Carrollton. She worked as a CNA for over 20 years at Greenwood Manor. Ethel loved her pets, Maggy and Holly.
Funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 14, 2025 at St. John's Catholic Church in Carrollton with burial to follow in St. John's Cemetery in Carrollton. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of mass Friday at the church. Memorials may be suggested to St. John's Cemetery. Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton is assisting the family.
