I remember 'Cheesy" as a great basketball fan and always had a smile.
My greatest memory of him as a basketball official, is the Championship game at the Salem tournament, when told a group of youngsters I was a Hall of Fame ref. They lined up for autographs and I enjoyed it tremendously
