ALTON — Eunice M. Vaughn, 68, of Alton, went to her heavenly home to join the choir of angels on December 21, 2020.
She was born in Alton, September 6,1952 the daughter of Benny and Ruby Roseman. She was a graduate of Alton High School and then attended Illinois State University. Eunice worked as a Legal Secretary for the Madison County Public defender's office for a time, then went on to work as a Librarian for Hayner's Children Library until she couldn't work any longer.
She was a member of Deliverance Temple Complex COGIC.
Her parents and four sisters, Thelma Covington, Christine Cochran, Geraldine Everage, and Maxine Roseman, preceded her in death.
Surviving is her husband of 45 years, James H. Vaughn III, her five children Dylan Vaughn (Shavonn), Sean Vaughn, James Jimi Vaughn, Erin Vaughn all of Alton, and Nikki Moore of Springfield, a sister, Demple Burnette of Alton, and a brother William Banks (Edith ) of Louisville, KY., 27 grandchildren, 34 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews, several cousins and a host of friends.
Walk through visitation will convene Wednesday, January 6, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at Deliverance Temple Complex Church of God in Christ. Funeral and Interment services will be held private. Online registry is available at www.harrisonfuneralchapel.com

I remember living cross the street from your family. You and your sisters played jacks with me for my 16th birthday. Your mother and my grandmother was great friends. R.I.P. Enjoy your new home. Maybe we can play jacks again
