GLENN PROUGH
CARROLLTON — Glenn Prough, 85, of Carrollton died on Wednesday afternoon, Nov. 4, 2015 at his residence.
Born in Woodville on Feb. 23, 1930, he was the son of the late Ralph and Lucy Turner Prough.
Surviving are his siblings: Lawrence (wife Velma) Prough of Jerseyville, Donald (wife Marva) Prough of Carrollton, Kenneth (wife Betty) Prough of Jerseyville, Betty (husband Franklin) Thiebaud of Dallas, Texas, and Barbara (husband Roger) Foiles of Carrollton. There are several nieces and nephews also surviving.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister Geraldine Prough.
Glenn was a Korean War veteran serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. He was a self-employed carpenter and also worked at the Carrollton Farmers Elevator for years. He was a member of Kampsville American Legion Post and the Baptist Faith.
Memorial visitation will be from 1 Sunday, Nov. 8, until memorial service time at 2 p.m.on Sunday at the Airsman-Hires Funeral Home in Carrollton. Private family burial will take place at a later date. Memorials donations may be directed to the Kampsville American Legion Post or Berdan Baptist Church. My thoughts and prayers go out to the family of Glenn. I have known him since high school.. May God bless all of you and especially Barbara who was with me during my husband's stay in Hospice.
