Alton - John Robert "Bob" von Almen III, 79, passed away at 4:47 p.m. on Wednesday, January 1, 2025, at his residence. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Thursday, January 9, at Saints Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Alton.

I´m so sorry to hear of Bob´s passing. Our sincerest condolences to you and your family. We met Bob through our VA meetings and had the honor of meeting him and all the laughs and fun we had with him. Bob was a true brother to us and we loved him. We have missed him at our meetings. Barb we are praying for you and your family. R.I.P. Brother.Hope to meet you again on the other side.
