JUANITA GERALDINE NICHOLAS, 78 years of age of Canvas, passed away Thursday February 6,2025 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown. She was the daughter of the late Charles and Oda Carnes DeVan and was born at Baltimore, Maryland April 23,1946. Juanita was a homemaker, a lifelong Christian and founding member of the Nettie Baptist Church.
She was also preceded in death by her husband Masten Nicholas and all her siblings.

Sharon Cole (Matt Fields) all of Canvas
Grandchildren Chance, Patrick, Ryan and Madison
Great Grandson Eli
Funeral services will be conducted at 4 p.m. Wednesday February 12th in the Nettie Baptist Church. Friends may call at the church one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Her body will be cremated at the conclusion of services.
The Waters Funeral Chapel in Summersville is in charge of the arrangements.

I knew juanita from Faith baptist church in Glen Burnie Maryland. We sang in the church choir and had lots of laughs and good fellowship not only at church but with her husband Masten in their home also. Rest in Jesus you both, will see you in Heaven someday. Love Joann and Paul Robinett

Juanita you were always my favorite Aunt me and you would be up for hours talking when you would come to Maryland. I am so thankful of you and Masten taking my Mom in she needed you. You will be greatly missed your in a better place than we are surrounded by alot of your family members it's not goodbye it's until I see you again. Please give my Mom a big hug for me. I love you
