Marsha Copeland
Wood River - Marsha Ann Copeland, 80, passed away Friday, November 3, 2023 at River Crossings in Alton.
Born March 9, 1943 in Alton, she was the daughter of Marshall and Margaret H. (Newmyer) Gibbons.
She retired as a sales associate for Mrs. Siebold's Bakery in Wood River.
On January 14, 1962 in Wood River, she married Joseph David Copeland. He died on June 9, 1984.
Surviving are two sons, Randy Copeland of Wood River, Toby Copeland of Centralia; daughter, Tammy Jo Copeland of Wood River; five grandchildren, Tyler Copeland, Demi Kessler (Josh Maupin), Katie Ellis (Cody), Joey Copeland (fiance', Bailey Wilson), Jacob Flynn; and two great grandchildren, Jonah Jarman and April Ellis.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; and a son, Rick Copeland.
Visitation will be from 3 pm until time of service at 5 pm, Wednesday, November 8 at Marks Mortuary in Wood River. Tyler Copeland will officiate.
Cremation rites will follow the service.
Interment will be in Short Cemetery in Cottage Hills at a later date.
Memorials are suggested to the Warren G. Murray Development Center in Centralia, IL.
