Kane - Matthew Mundy, 52, died Mon., Feb. 17, 2025 at Alton Memorial Hospital. Visitation: Mon., Feb. 24 from 4 to 7 p.m. at Crawford Funeral Home in Jerseyville, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m., Tues. Burial: Kane Cemetery.

I remember meeting Matt in 4th grade at Kane and then later through classes at Illini and in high school. As Katie said, he was so funny and great to be around. As with so many from the class of 1990, he is gone far too soon. Prayers for his family.

Some of my best high school memories include Matt, a trumpet player in the band. He was hilarious and made so many of us smile. I remember band bus trips, my surprise 16th bday party in Kane, driving up and down State Street...so many great memories. His energy was unmatched. We were blessed to know him.
