Michael Mulligan Obituary
COTTAGE HILLS - Michael P. Mulligan, 69, passed away at at 1:58 p.m. on August 14, 2016, at John Cochran Hospital.
Born May 17, 1947, in Alton, he was the son of the late Emil "Bud" and Irma (Foster) Mulligan.
Mr. Mulligan worked as a River Boat Captain for Hannah Marine for 30-plus years and served in the United States Army. He will always be known for his love of antique cars and wood working. He was a member of the Riverbend Calvary Chapel. He will be sadly missed by his dogs, Apache and Snuggles.
He married Linda Lou Williamson on April 21, 1969, in Alton, Illinois. She survives. Also surviving are two sisters, Carol Wanick of Carlinville, Illinois, Lois (Terry) Forbes of Hurst, Texas.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Irwin and a great nephew, Dalton Gray.
Visitation will be from 1-4 p.m. on Sunday, August 21, 2016, at Marks Mortuary in Wood River where funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 22, 2016. Reverend Dan Johnson will officiate.
Burial will take place at Rose Lawn Memory Gardens in Bethalto.
Memorials may be made to Disabled American Veterans.

Mike will always have a special place in my heart. He was my first boyfriend in 6th grade. My deepest sympathy to his family. You will be missed at our monthly breakfast!

Mike has always been a great friend to us and our family and the Church Family. He spent many times in our home. We will miss him and his cheery personality. He is now having his celebration with family and friends with the Lord.
