Patricia "Pat" Ann Adam
Alton, Illinois - Patricia "Pat" Ann (Perkins) Adam, age 84, of Alton, Illinois, passed away peacefully on November 4, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born to Minnie and Woodford Perkins on August 23, 1941, in Kane, Illinois, Pat was raised in a close-knit family and was a lifelong resident of Alton. After a long and dedicated career at Owens Illinois, she retired in 1997, where she was known for her hardworking and vibrant personality.
Pat married Dale Rice in 1962 and later found love with Richard "Dick" Adam, whom she married in 1991. Together, Pat and Dick shared 30 wonderful years, cherishing their blended families, their beloved dogs, golfing, and traveling.
Known for her outgoing and social nature, Pat's greatest joy came from spending time with her family and friends, especially her children and grandchildren. She was always the life of the party, bringing warmth and laughter wherever she went.
Pat is survived by her sisters; Priscilla Renner and Shonna (Tom) Bennett; her cousin, Lesta (Ric) Lamb; her children, Jennifer (Tom Coriell) Rice, David (Melany Nitsche) Adam, Lisa (Michael) Plunkett, Clay (Kristina) Adam, and Karen Adam; and her grandchildren, Alicia (Adam Kitowski) Rice, Gabriel (Nick) Moynihan, Jacob Coriell, Natalie Coriell, Staci (Joe) Doolin, Brent Adam, Adam Beckman, and Ella Adam. She also leaves behind her great-granddaughters, Louna and Birdie; as well as nephews, Barry (Judy) Temple and Brian (Melissa) Temple. Additionally, Pat was loved by many extended family members and close friends, including her best friends, Carole Cross and Mary Bob Crouson.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodford and Minnie Perkins; her son, Michael Rice; and her husband, Dick Adam.
A visitation will be held on Friday, November 21, 2025, from 1 p.m. until time of service at 2 p.m., at Elias, Kallal and Schaaf Funeral Home in Bethalto (727 East Bethalto Blvd. Bethalto, IL). The family invites all who knew Pat to join in remembering her life.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations be made to the
Dementia Society of America. Pat's memory will live on in the hearts of all who had the privilege of knowing her.
