PATSY HOGUE
ALTON — Patsy Ruth Hogue, 88, a longtime Mount Vernon resident, passed away at 8:30 p.m. Nov. 27, 2017 at Integrity Healthcare in Alton.
She was born Sept. 30, 1929, in Benton, Illinois, and raised there by her grandparents, William and Faye Harten. She married (Edsel) Maurice Hogue of Mount Vernon, in Morganfield, Kentucky, on Sept. 5, 1948.
Patsy was preceded in death by her grandparents, and then her husband in July, 1989.
She was employed by Wal-Mart and First Bank.
Survivors include two daughters, Bonney Patterson and husband (William) Roger of Weldon Spring, Missouri, and Bluffton, South Carolina, and Penny Gilbert, husband George Gilbert, of Lake Ozark, Missouri. Grandchildren include Sarah (Chris), Jeffery (Amy), Thomas (Shaun), and Anthony, as well as six great-grandchildren.
A memorial graveside service will be held in March at Oakwood Cemetary in Mt. Vernon, Illinois.
