RHONDA MIZE
GODFREY — Rhonda K Mize, 49, died at St. Louis University Hospital, St. Louis, Missouri on Thursday, Dec. 8, at 10:39 a.m. She was born Nov. 28, 1967, in Alton, Illinois to Paul W Sauerwein & Maxine Buhs Sauerwein. Rhonda was baptized on Dec. 24, 1967 at Zion Lutheran Church in Bunker Hill by Rev. Henry Peckman. She was confirmed on April 25, 1982 by Rev. George Gude. She married John "Jack" A Mize on Aug. 30, 2012 at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Dorsey, Illinois. She was a Physical Therapist.Rhonda enjoyed life including motorcycle riding, spending time with family and friends, and collecting Curious George.
She is survived by her mother, Maxine Sauerwein of Bunker Hill, Ilinois, spouse, Jack Mize of Godfrey, Illinois, dog, Max, step children, John Mize Jr. of Bunker Hill, Ilinois, Calley Mize of Dublin, Ireland, brother, Wayne (Leigh) Sauerwein of Bunker Hill, Ilinois, sister, Karen Street (Companion, Jeff Ligon) of Bethalto, Ilinois, nephew, Tyler Paul Street, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. Rhonda was preceded in death by her father.
Friends may call on Sunday, Dec. 11, at Zion Lutheran Church in Bunker Hill from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. Memorial services are at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 11, at Zion Lutheran Church in Bunker Hill, Illinois with Rev. Brian G. Holle officiating.
