Robert Welch Obituary
ROBERT "BOB" WELCH
ARLINGTON HEIGHTS — Bob Welch, 84, passed away in Arlington Heights, Illinois on Aug. 17, 2017. He was born January 6, 1933 in Alton, Illinois and lived in the Alton Area until 1973, when he moved with his family to Arlington Heights.
Bob is survived by his wife of 60 years, Carrol Welch; his children, Rhonda Welch and Jeff (Nancy) Welch; his grandchildren, Andy (Kelsey) Welch and Megan Welch; his siblings, Mary Ellen (the late Harold) Fulkerson, Charles (Mary) Welch, and Donna (Bruce) Bible; and many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Weldon and Ella Mae Welch; and his brothers, Don (survived by Linda) Welch, Kenneth Welch, and William Welch (Bob's twin).
Bob was loving and generous to his family. He enjoyed volunteering at Willow Creek Community Church, South Barrington, Illinois in several ministries. Starting at a young age, he had a lifelong passion for rebuilding cars. He retired from Allstate Insurance Co. after 31 years.
A funeral service was held Aug. 27, 2017 in Palatine, Illinois. There will be a graveside service at Valhalla Memorial Park in Godfrey, Illinois on Tuesday, Aug. 29, 2017 at 11 a.m.
