ALTON - Sandra Joyce Bonner, 40, died at 1:10 a.m. Tuesday, December 16, 2014.
Born June 16, 1974 in Marietta, Ga., she was the daughter of Edward L. and Edith M. (Webster) Gray of Godfrey. Sandra loved photography, art, children, writing poetry and short stories, animals and nature. She owned and operated Whistle-Room, an online sales operation. She married Patrick "Adam" Bonner on August 12, 2005, in Edwardsville. He survives.
Along with her parents and husband, she is survived by three brothers, Kenneth "Kenny" Gray of Ramseur, N.C., Michael Gray (Cammie) of Florissant, Mo., and James Gray (Heather) of New Bern, N.C.; three sisters, Brenda Bennett (Robert) of Fort Lawn, S.C., Sheryl Hettinger of Asheboro, N.C., and Patricia Betts (Ronald) of Franklinville, N.C.; 14 nieces and nephews; and five great nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by a niece, Hope Zimmerman.
A memorial visitation will be from 1 p.m. until time of memorial service at 3 p.m. Monday, Dec. 22, at Gent Funeral Home in Alton. Reverend Don E. Long Jr. will officiate.
Memorials may be made to the Oasis Women's Shelter.
