2023
With great sorrow and bittersweet gratitude, the passing of our kind, caring, unimaginably generous and sometimes too wild Drew has departed.
Andrew D. "Drew" Dickinson, 71, formerly of Waymart, passed away Saturday afternoon, March 25, 2023 at Geisinger Community Medical Center in Scranton after an extended illness. He passed peacefully with his family beside him. He was preceded in death by wife, the former Sarah Jane Swendsen in 2012.
Born Nov. 20, 1951 in Milford, Conn., he was the son of the late Harry and Mary (McAllen) Dickinson.
He will be dearly missed by anyone who knew him. His charisma could bring people together, where many laughs would be had. He lived a story that will leave tales and will be told for generations to come, those tales told will be so hard to believe that they had to be true! Please do tell!
Drew is survived by his daughter, Natalie D. Kulick and her husband Joshua and their sons, twin grandchildren, Levon Andrew Kulick and Nolan Edmund Kulick; a sister, Katherine Deschenes (Raymond Deschenes); and a brother, Christopher Dickinson. The sisters-in-law of Sarah (enough said), brothers-in-law, cousins, cherished nieces, and nephews. Many beloved friends, Virginia Perea, Stanley and Linda Brussell, thank you for always swinging bye or picking up the phone.
He was preceded in death by his beloved daughter, Nancy Dickinson in 2000. A sister, Margaret (Leete, brother-in-law) Doty, a brother, Jonathon Dickinson. Many friends and loved ones, Heller, Tom, Nana, nieces, and nephews to welcome him home.
Family and friends are invited to a Memorial Blessing Service that will be held on Saturday, April 1, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. with Deacon Edward Kelly officiating in the Howell Family Funeral Home Inc. Edward R. Howell, funeral director, 269 Belmont St., Waymart, Pa.; www.HowellFamilyFuneralHome.com.
Interment will be done privately at a later time.
