Ann Carey passed away Dec. 10 at Regional Hospital of Scranton.
Born in Scranton to the late Duane Burlingame and Eleanor Margaret Ross Burlingame, she was a 1980 graduate of Abington Heights and a member of the Chinchilla United Methodist Church.
Ann was a kind and compassionate soul as well as a lover of animals. She loved going on cruises with her family and listening to music.
Before her leaving the company, she worked many years as a cashier at Weis Markets in Clarks Summit.
She is survived by her son, Aaron Carey and husband, William Carey, both of South Abington Twp. Also surviving are sisters, Lynn Young and Donna Serrenti of South Abington Twp.
Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the John F. Glinsky Funeral Home Inc., 445 Sanderson St., Throop. Calling hours will be Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. Face masks and social distancing are required.
