Ann M. Moore, 89, of Moscow, died Saturday morning at St. Mary's Villa Nursing Home after an illness. She was the widow of James P. Moore, who died in 2001.
Born Dec. 23, 1932, in Scranton, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Anna Olczewski Baranski. She was a resident of Moscow for many years. Ann was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Church in Moscow.
Surviving are her children, James P. Moore and wife, Ann, Mount Pocono; and Janet A. O'Neill and husband, Bill, Perkasie, Pa.; six grandchildren, Ashley Moore, Gillian Moore, Kyle Dempsey, Erin Dempsey, Zachary O'Neill and Sarah Formato; four great-grandchildren, Lucas Dempsey, Ellie Dempsey, Aria Formato and Benjamin Formato; and nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband, Ann was preceded in death by her daughter, Marianne Dempsey; grandson, Andrew O'Neill; and brothers, Joseph, John and Edward Baranski.
A viewing will be held Wednesday at St. Catherine of Siena Church, 220 Church St., Moscow, from 9:15 a.m. prior to a Mass of Christian Burial at 10 a.m. Interment to follow at St. Catherine's Cemetery, Covington Twp.
The family is requesting anyone attending the Mass or viewing to kindly wear a mask.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of the Sacred Heart, 53 Glenmaura National Blvd., Moosic, PA 18507; or Fox Chase Cancer Center, 333 Cottman Ave., Philadelphia, PA 19111-2497.
