Anna Nasevich Obituary

Anna Nasevich, 95, of Scranton, formerly of Mount Cobb, died Sunday morning at St. Mary's Villa, Elmhurst, after a brief illness.

Born in Scranton, daughter of the late Demitri and Katherine Hnatusko Nasevich, she was a member of SS. Cyril and Methodius Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Olyphant, and the Jefferson Twp. Senior Citizens Organization. Before her retirement, she was employed at Daystrom Corp., Archbald.

She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including her caretaker, Barbara Wolves, Scranton, with whom she resided.

She also was preceded in death by five brothers, Francis, Joseph, John, Michael and Peter Nasevich; and two sisters, Mary Homick and Josephine Wolves.

The funeral will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. from the John J. Turko & Sons Funeral Home, 404 Susquehanna Ave., Olyphant, with Divine Liturgy at 10:30 in SS. Cyril and Methodius Church, River Street, Olyphant, to be concelebrated by the Rev. Nestor Iwasiw, pastor, and Deacon Willis Homick. Interment, parish cemetery, Peckville.

Friends may call Wednesday, 9 to 10. A panachida service will be at 9:30.
