Anna Sluck, 92, of Taylor, entered into eternal rest on Friday.
Born on April 24, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Ignatz and Julia Kotcho Sluck. Anna attended Taylor Schools and was a graduate of Taylor Moosic High School, class of 1949. Until her retirement, Anna worked for Anamastat Corporation. She was a lifelong parishioner of St. George's Orthodox Church, Taylor. Anna enjoyed her family and took delight in displaying the many photos of her nieces and nephews and their families. Along with her lifelong best friends, Millie and Pauline, she enjoyed many fun-filled days and created many precious memories.
She is survived by her niece and caregiver, Jeanie Sluck; nephews, Michael, Stephen, John Glenn, Jim, Greg and Paul; nieces, Ann Marie and Elizabeth; great-nephews, Daniel, Stephen, Joseph, Shane, Robert, Richard and Peyton; great-nieces, Stephanie, Rebecca, Katie, Madison and Robyn; great-great-nephews, Jack, Sam, Landon, Dylan, Joseph and Blake; great-great-nieces, Jane, Andie, Sadie, Kinley, Nora and Sophia; sisters-in-law, Patricia, Diane and Mary; and her best friends, Millie Hrobuchak and Pauline Barry.
She was preceded in death by brothers, William, Frank, Michael, John, George, Steve, Frank, Joseph, Andrew (Jim) and Peter; a sister, Martha Regan; nephews, Stephen Kaneski, Joseph W. Sluck and Alan Sluck; and nieces, Lisa Parlanti, Julie Ann Clegg and Linda Chmielewski.
Ann's family would like to thank Dr. Darlene Dunay, the staff of Willow Brook Place and Hospice of the Sacred Heart for all the loving care they gave Anna. A special thank you to Nick and Carl Krenitsky, who became special friends and bright stars in Ann's final days.
Family and friends are invited to attend Ann's funeral, which will be Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Semian Funeral Home LLC, 704 Union St., Taylor, by the Very Rev. Mark Leasure. Friends may call Thursday from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions maybe made to the Taylor Public Library, 710 S. Main St., Taylor, 18517; Pawsitively for the Animals, 3265 Greenwood Ave., Scranton, 18505; or to Scranton Animal Association, c/o the funeral home.
