Antoinette "Toni" Czyzyk

1932 - 2021

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, friend and our Superwoman Antoinette "Toni" Czyzyk. She passed away at her home in Green Ridge Wednesday evening surrounded by her three daughters. She had a yearlong battle after major surgery last December but she fought and survived to be with us.

Toni was born March 27, 1932, in the State Hospital in Scranton and was raised in Olyphant. She was the daughter of the late Anthony Felczuk and Stella Lukasik. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Frank Czyzyk. She graduated from Olyphant High School in 1949.

As a young girl, Toni was a majorette in the American Legion Band alongside her father whom she adored.

After graduation she met and married Frank, she started the job that she loved the most and that brought her the most joy, being a mom, homemaker and caregiver. Her family was her life.

Toni was always there for her family, she lovingly took care of her mother, brother Tony and sisters, Helen and Sophia when they needed her care and compassion while raising her family.

Our family was blessed to have had our mother and grandmother for 89 years to be with us to worry about every one of us, guide us with her love and support, offer us kind words of encouragement, and give us selfless love that only she could give.

All who met and knew Toni would describe her as a kind and sweet person who would help anyone in need. She was a gentle soul who always put others before herself.

She was an amazing mother to Linda Bordo and companion, Daniel Bunevitch, Deborah Pointon and husband, Stephen, Frank Czyzyk, wife, Kelli and Denise and husband, Michael Voitik. She was also an extremely proud grandmother to Caesar Bordo, Amanda Bordo, Michael Voitik and wife, Sarah, Katie Voitik, Logan, Carly, Hayden and Blake Czyzyk, and great-grandmother to Jimmy Bordo.
